What does a successful Compliance Manager do?

At Fiserv, our Compliance Program Standards (CPS) team sits at the heart of our Global Compliance Program—designing the frameworks, tools, and guidance that empower our worldwide compliance community to stay ahead in an evolving regulatory landscape. As a Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the programs and standards that protect our organization, support innovation, and uphold trust with clients and regulators.

In this role, you will serve as the driving force behind the Regulatory Rules Management (RRM) program, ensuring Fiserv maintains a dynamic, accurate, and forward‑looking understanding of the regulatory obligations that impact our products and services. You’ll work directly with Compliance Officers across the business, partner with leaders, and influence critical compliance processes with global reach. Over time, you’ll also have opportunities to expand into other high‑visibility compliance program areas.

What you will do:

  • Track and analyze global regulatory developments to identify new or changing rules that could impact Fiserv’s offerings.
  • Evaluate regulatory rule changes within our system of record and route them to the appropriate Compliance Officers for expert assessment.
  • Lead and deliver key projects that advance the strategy, effectiveness, and operational excellence of the RRM program.
  • Draft high‑quality policies, standards, and guidance to support CPS program areas, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with Fiserv’s global compliance vision.
  • Implement compliance procedures and partner with Compliance Officers to embed CPS standards across the organization.
  • Train, advise, and collaborate with Compliance Officers and cross‑functional teams, ensuring successful adoption of the RRM system and reinforcing program expectations.
  • Report program metrics and project updates to senior leadership, turning insights into meaningful business conversations.
  • Support audits and examinations by delivering timely, well-organized, and accurate documentation to internal stakeholders, clients, and regulators.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of Compliance Officer assessments to ensure alignment with RRM program requirements and overall program integrity.
  • Contribute to additional CPS initiatives—including risk assessments, monitoring and testing, issue management, policy governance, and compliance training—as needs evolve.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in compliance, payments, financial services, risk management, and/or systems administration.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations, along with the associated compliance requirements impacting Fiserv, financial institutions, and the broader payments and financial services industries.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience using approved desktop AI tools to enhance productivity and execution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to analyze data and develop clear, professional presentations.

What would be great to have:

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting federal, state, and international regulations to assess their potential applicability to Fiserv’s products, services, and operations.
  • Knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms, including experience with system administration tools such as Archer.
  • Familiarity with the payments and financial services industries, including key regulatory drivers and operational processes.
