Today, the studio is composed of 400 talents from 20 different nationalities, working on licenses such as Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil 2 and a free to play game, BattleCore Arena. At the same time, the studio has set up a Tech branch which works on all Ubisoft's online services (named Online Services) as well as on the Anvil game engine. Ubisoft Bordeaux is also home to a R&D team, La Forge, which brings together engineers and researchers to work together on prototypes for game production, particularly around AI topics.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Ubisoft Game-Streaming Team is working on several topics related to cloud orchestration, tackling cloud-gaming streaming challenges using microservices architecture and different cloud providers (AWS and GCP).<br/>
The objective is to ensure a sustainable environment for deploying this environment such as machine optimization, operating machines efficiently, make it accessible through services for players and administrators.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Contribute to the orchestration system looking at different stacks: Cloud Provider (<strong>AWS, GCP</strong>), VM (<strong>Windows automation</strong>), Operations (<strong>Kubernetes</strong>), Observability</li><li>Develop and maintain microservices using <strong>Golang</strong>.</li><li>Ensure smooth integration with <strong>Docker</strong> and <strong>Git</strong>.</li><li>Troubleshoot technical challenges and participate in the continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Hard skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience or understanding of <strong>microservices architecture</strong></li><li>Proficiency in the following technologies: <ul><li><strong>Programming Language</strong> used within API Services contexts (Golang, Typescript, Python, C#, Rust, ...)</li><li><strong>Git</strong>: solid understanding of the basics.</li></ul></li><li>Optional Skill set as a plus:<ul><li><strong>Kubernetes: </strong>Basics<strong> - </strong>knowledge around pods, deployments</li><li><strong>AWS/GCP: </strong>knowledge around core Cloud Provider concepts: compute, network, security</li><li><strong>Docker</strong>: familiarity with containerization fundamental concept</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Soft skills</strong>:</p><ul><li>Positive attitude and enthusiasm.</li><li>Curious and proactive mindset.</li><li>Strong desire to learn.</li><li>Slight introversion is fine, as long as collaboration and teamwork remain a priority.</li><li><strong>Knowledge of video games (VG)</strong>: not required, but being a player is a plus.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>Contract:</strong> 6-month internship</p><p><strong>Start date: </strong>ASAP</p><p><strong>Location</strong>: role based in Bordeaux – France</p><p><strong>Hiring Process:</strong></p><ul><li>Video interview with one of our recruiters</li><li>Interview with the manager</li></ul><p>If your application is not retained, you will receive a negative answer.</p><p><em>We are working to enrich players’ lives through unique and memorable gaming experiences and by improving the positive impacts of our games.
