The product you'll be working on
Our partner is a leading internet agency with more than 25 years of experience in web development, hosting and support. With a complete product portfolio, they serve their clients with web environments for all their digital expressions. Quality, 'a deal is a deal' and a future-oriented view are their core values. 
You’ll be part of the Innovation Team on new products targeted at the public sector in the Netherlands. Websites and web apps for government agencies need to adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1). Organizations purchasing these new products have their own branding. The new products will provide a no-code/low-code solution for organizations to theme their tenant/instance.

Role & Responsibilities

• Set up a design system and the UX/UI department from scratch, build all interfaces from ground up.
• Ensure that design standards are consistently and appropriately applied within design work.
• Engage with product management, engineering and business stakeholders to understand the needs and to find the balance between value and efficiency.
• Define and document UX principles for components.
• Support with visual testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience in UX/UI design for web applications
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma)
• Willingness to travel to the Netherlands (1-2 times per month)
• Experience with responsive design and accessibility standards

• Team spirit; strong communication skills (in English both written & spoken) to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Ability to work independently
• Proactive worker with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Open-minded and collaborative

Nice to haves

• Experience with Markdown
