Salesforce Implementation Leader

Our team in Portsmouth, RI is looking for an IT professional with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform. 

General Responsibilities: 

• Possessing an in-depth understanding of the Salesforce platform's architecture, capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, etc.), and best practices.
• Configuring and maintaining Salesforce settings, including user management, security, profiles, roles, permissions, and data sharing rules.
• Designing, developing, and deploying custom applications and solutions using Salesforce tools like Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and APIs.
• Creating and maintaining custom objects, fields, workflows, process builders, and other automation to streamline business processes.

Integration:

• Designing, developing, and managing complex integrations between Salesforce and other internal and external systems using APIs, middleware, and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Ensuring seamless data flow and system compatibility between Salesforce and other platforms (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, telephony).
• Troubleshooting integration issues and implementing timely solutions to maintain optimal system performance and data accuracy.
• Managing data migration and ensuring data quality and integrity across the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Solution Design & Architecture:
• Translating complex business requirements into well-architected, scalable, and secure solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform.
• Providing expert advice on integration approaches, patterns, and industry best practices.
• Contributing to the technical design of Salesforce implementations, including data models, integration patterns, API strategies, and automation workflows.
• Staying updated with Salesforce releases, features, and new technologies, assessing how they can benefit the organization.
• User Support & Training:
• Providing technical support and training to end-users on Salesforce usage and best practices.
• Developing training materials and conducting training sessions to promote user adoption and system effectiveness.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other IT teams, to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver projects.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical information into understandable terms and explaining design options.
• Acting as a liaison between Salesforce users, vendors, and application development teams 

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
• Significant hands-on experience in Salesforce administration, development, and integration, often 5+ years for senior roles.
• Experience leading complex Salesforce implementations and integrations in enterprise environments.
• Salesforce Administrator certification is often required.
• Proficiency in Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, SOQL, SOSL).
• Strong understanding of APIs and web services for integrating Salesforce with external systems (REST/SOAP).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines) for release management and deployment.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities for overseeing integration projects and managing multiple tasks.
• Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning to stay abreast of evolving Salesforce technologies and best practices.
