Our customers in Iceland need help. Nearly all goods have to be transported to Iceland by sea. Fortunately, DSV has perfectly arranged the road transport and ocean freight, managing everything in-house from A to Z. Fast, efficient and reliable: you’re on it.
 

How you do this? Operationally, you will assist in organizing ocean freight and road transport. Together with your colleagues, you convert orders into bookings, coordinate with our carriers to arrange transportation and keep customers updated on ongoing transports or changes in estimated delivery time. You achieve this by: 
 

• entering administrative data through Cargowise;
• coordinating with our colleagues in the warehouse for loading orders and providing them with loading lists;
• contacting our carriers to deliver empty containers and organize transport to the terminal; 
• maintaining customer contact regarding the status of orders and deliveries.

Your team stands out within DSV by the close collaboration amount team members and with our warehouse. This is partly because we laugh a lot while working hard and because we do things just a little bit differently than our other departments.

You bring

• a proactive work attitude and the desire to continue learning and growing within the DSV company, for example into a role as an all-round freight forwarder;
• some work experience with the handling of ocean freight or a completed education in port logistics;
• a good command of the Dutch language (B1 level) and you have strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
