Analyst-Applications Senior

This team member will be responsible for ongoing system support, installs, maintenance, upgrades, and be the onsite vendor liaison for Virtual Care associated applications under supervision. This team member is responsible for ensuring that all Virtual Care applications are available and functioning properly and that customer requests are satisfied on time and with the highest quality. Duties will involve problem analysis, issue resolution, and on-call support. This position will work closely with System Analysts, end users, technical IS staff, and application vendors. This team member will be assigned to complex technical IS work and business problems and will need to possess and apply a broad knowledge of IS principles and practices through the completion of assignments. Assignments are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity. The team member will work with minimum supervision, conferring with supervisor on unusual matters. Works on small to large complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and knowledge of a specific business area. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades hospital information systems hardware and software under limited supervision. 
  • Administers and maintains security of operating systems. 
  • Provides operational support for the organization's information systems, peripheral equipment, and clinical applications. 
  • Provides onsite support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware. 
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. 
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

STRONGLY PREFERRED:

  • Strong knowledge of cross discipline healthcare processes and workflows.
  • Experience with clinical information systems or in implementing/supporting clinical information systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, quality focus, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities in a high pressure environment.
  • Ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
  • Ability to maintain confidential communication and use judgment and discretion.
  • General consulting skill, process improvement, customer relationship skills, reporting skills, and technical zeal.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience required.
  • Prefers experience with databases or clinical applications.
  • Requires knowledge of multi application and system interdependencies.
