The successful candidate may be required to travel to the Pittsburgh and/or New York markets (<20%) on a periodic basis. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.
As an ALM Senior Associate, you will be a member of Corporate Treasury’s Profitability & Risk Adjusted Return Team. This team partners with executive management, line of business leadership, and finance to promote effective balance sheet usage across our lending businesses through the assessment of customer relationship value, profitability, and risk-adjusted return.
Your work will contribute to ALM’s efforts in optimizing PNC’s capital and returns on a risk-adjusted basis for all balance sheet and revenue opportunities. ALM manages the balance sheet and supports our business partners in their activities through building and utilizing industry leading analytics, models, and decision-making tools.
Preferred:
• Quantitatively focused undergraduate/graduate degree is preferred (Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics)
• MBA, CPA, CFA (or progress towards completion) a plus
• Operating knowledge of bank financial statements and/or credit risk preferred

Job Description
- Leads financial analysis and/or statistical analyses, conducts research, and prepares reporting relating to relationship, product, business segment, and line of business risk-adjusted return .
- Performs data analysis and solves complex data/analytical challenges through the application of various technologies or financial reporting tools (i.e. Python, R, Hyperion, Essbase).
- Partners with teammates and cross-functionally to enhance efficiency of Treasury’s and/or LOB’s profitability & risk-adjusted return measurement and monitoring methodologies through development of analytical frameworks and reporting processes.
- Contributes to the creation of profitability & risk-adjusted return analyses for PNC’s Asset Liability Committee (ALCO).
- Reviews peer earnings releases and conducts analysis to benchmark PNC’s returns relative to our competitors.
- Partners with model development teams in the use and application of modelling results and/or model equations to advance and improve PNC’s profitability & risk-adjusted return estimation approaches
