SCOPE:
The primary responsibility of the Lubricant Delivery Driver (LDD) is to make timely and accurate deliveries of bulk and packaged products to client facilities as specified by daily delivery schedules. This will be done in accordance with State and Federal regulations while maintaining company safety standards. The LDD is also responsible for maintaining client relationships where applicable and provide leads to the sales force as they arise. LDD ensures our clients are serviced with a level of excellence that best represents our company’s ‘Core Values’.
SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES
- Adhere to delivery schedules set forth by dispatch
- Perform daily Pre and Post Trip of the tanker, and report mechanical issues to Operations
- Complete physical dip of tanks at the beginning and end of each delivery to verify accurate inventory and safety levels
- Maintain accurate delivery and purchase detail, and record on daily log sheet from stop to stop
- Communicate with management and dispatch on client issues or safety concerns
- Maintain relationship with office personnel and respond to questions in a timely manner
- Return daily log Sheet and delivery receipts upon the completion of each shift
- Report all spills to Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor
- Assist Warehouse team with pulling products for next day deliveries
- Other duties to be assigned as needed

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Class A or B CDL, with a current medical card (Preferred certification in both manual and auto transmission)
- Must have both Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
- A minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience is preferred by not required.
- Must have the ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle receipts; read maps, road signs, maintain record of duty status, etc.
- Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
- Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance.
- Must be available for around the clock trips to accommodate freight movements and must be available for irregular shifts.
- Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the US Dept. of Transportation
- Must satisfactorily pass a drug test.
- Must satisfactorily pass an alcohol test (if applicable)
