The Air Dominance Business Office within Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) is seeking a hands-on experienced analyst to support a large defense portfolio. This position requires a process leader who will partner with the financial management team to provide decision support, drive savings, and increase productivity.

As a Financial Data Analyst, your primary responsibilities will be driven by interpretation and reporting requests. By applying transformations and analysis to SQL/Excel-based datasets, you will create clear and concise reporting via SQL, Power BI, and Excel. Previously developed models will require consistent maintenance, modification, and summarization. You’ll be empowered to create new models to help our business partners understand financial data and impacts of business decisions. As a data analyst your focus will be on financial planning and analysis (FP&A) reporting, but will cross over with program controls reporting to ensure end to end coverage of all financials.

This position is Hybrid with the expectation that the person will be able to work onsite as required by the business (2-5 times a week).

What You Will Do

• Large Data Interpretation/Modeling Support: Generate financial models and analyses using advanced analytical tools and multiple reporting systems; provides readily accessible information and projections with guidance.

• Perform ad hoc projects and analysis derived from varying datasets.

• Lead financial process improvement regarding information and model management.

• Maintain complex information schemas and provide support to end-users with statistical extraction.

• Budget/Forecasting/Action Planning: Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making processes.

• Create ad hoc models to convert financial and operational inputs into legible KPIs to track progress against forecasts.

• Compile financial/operational KPIs and present in real-time actionable format.

• Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Utilize data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

• System/Financial Reconciliation: Collect, clean, and organize financial data from various sources including databases, APIs, and external vendors.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic

• Typically requires 5+ years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3+ years prior relevant experience

• Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools

• Experience interfacing, conducting business, and working collaboratively with various functional disciplines (Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Operations, etc.) in a cross-matrix organization.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with SAP (APEX/PRISM)

• Strong Power Query, Power BI, Excel, data models, etc.

• Experience with Business Warehouse or Analysis for Office (AO)

• Proven analytical skills

• Experience with Raytheon P
