Job Summary

Support and assist in developing goals of the Rate Department through tracking functions, website management, research, updating and documenting complex spreadsheets, and analytics as directed by the Rates Manager or others on the Team.  Provide technical and cost analysis to develop and gain regulatory approval for electric and gas rate design and tariff special provisions, terms, conditions.  Provide expert recommendations based upon the completion of technical and costs analysis designed to seek approval for electric and gas rate design and other regulatory filings. The group works collaboratively with its Utility clients, including Utility Finance and Accounting, Legal, Communications, and others.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and costs analyses to support electric and gas design, tariff special provisions and terms and conditions; analyze results and identify areas of opportunities.
• Prepare filings for periodic updates of certain tariff sheets; draft responses to intervener interrogatories related to rate filings or issues.
• Preparation of reports or analysis specifically requested by management and in support of regulatory filings; provide recommendations on the results of these to management.
• Other rate related tasks as assigned by the Rates Manager. 
• Provide guidance to Computer Programmers and Customer Operations regarding new rate structures and new rates utilized in customer billing system.
• Prepare survey responses, bill analyses and comparisons of state, regional and national utilties; provide recommendations on the results of these to management.
• Update Company website as needed for various tariff and other requirements and update certain customer bill charges in the billing system.
