About the Role

Designs, develops, and refines algorithms, including neural network architectures tailored for natural language processing and/or machine perception tasks, to create functional predictive models for diverse applications.  Utilizes a diverse array of training-time and inference-time techniques, including convolutional and transformer-based models, student-teacher models, distillation, and generative-adversarial networks (GANs), as well as the design of cost models and discriminators, to optimize model performance in terms of accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and reliability for real-world deployment.

What You’ll Do:
• Leads the translation of complex, open-ended issues into functional production code and machine learning models and communicates feasibility of solution to program managers
• Develops a broad view of the solutions, feasibility and implementation implications
• Keeps abreast of industry changes and latest developments to aide in model and architecture selection and development
• Leads in-depth discussions on model design high impact ML models across multiple products/teams, considering cutting-edge research and custom architectures
• Innovates model architecture, potentially introducing new paradigms or adapting existing approaches in novel ways
• Defines layers and locations for model building to address business problem
• Explores and implements advanced models and model architectures
• Develops and integrates data splitting and custom optimization strategies, potentially combining multiple techniques
• Designs and executes comprehensive model evaluation, considering cross-validation and ensemble methods
• Provides expert guidance on model evaluation, and automation decisions for the function and/or portfolio of products
• Establishes best practices for model integration and deployment using CI/CD principles
• Applies knowledge of deployment of machine learning models at scale on iOS/Android devices, browsers, and cloud/servers in code development

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or Masters + 6 years of related experience, or PhD + 3 years of related experience

The starting salary range posted for this position is $216,300.00 to $280,800.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below.
