T-Mobile’s Federal Regulatory Affairs team is seeking a sharp, business-minded attorney to serve as Senior Corporate Counsel focused on federal funding, broadband deployment programs, and Universal Service. • Lead advocacy on USF and funding policy: draft comments, reply comments, ex partes, and briefing materials on USF modernization, including Lifeline, E-Rate, Rural Healthcare, High-Cost and 5G Fund; translate proposals into actionable guidance.
  • Guide grant administration and audit readiness: translate complex regulatory programs and rules into internal controls for federal and state grants; partner with our compliance team to manage outside counsel and consultants.
  • Analyze internal economics and business cases; reflect insights into filings and cross-functional recommendations.
  • Support accessibility matters, including applicable FCC rules and related compliance.
  • Coordinate with FCC staff, USAC, NTIA, Treasury, and state broadband offices; prepare executives for meetings and presentations.
  • Collaborate across Legal, Government Affairs, Network, Finance, and Operations to ensure filings and communications accurately represent our technology and services.
Maintain trackers and executive updates on deadlines, risks, and opportunities.

The experience you’ll bring:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 7-10 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on federal telecommunications law, FCC regulatory work, or public policy.
  • Direct experience interacting with the FCC or other government agencies with an understanding of federal or state broadband programs and Universal Service mechanisms preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, research skills, and public advocacy—able to translate regulatory complexity into business-relevant insights.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and executive-briefing skills with proven success participating in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

    • At least 18 years of age
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
