Overall, this aggregated, cleansed, and normalized data fuels analytics, supports News, and is heavily relied on by market players to understand market sentiment and drive investment decisions. The group is dedicated to crafting best-in-class ownership analytics and holdings data while constantly looking to enhance and expand our existing offerings.
What's the Role?
The Ownership Data team is seeking a driven and diligent Data Engineer who will be a problem solver, an effective communicator, and versatile at balancing technical expertise with a product-focused approach. In this role, you will be diving deep into the different types of Ownership disclosures to identify and address the modeling needs of the datasets and ensure our data is fit-for-purpose. You will use the tech stack to design and implement efficient data ingestion workflows using programming, machine learning, and AI. As a Senior Data Management Professional, you will help to develop our business outcome-based data strategies to optimize the value of data for our customers and improve data operations.

We'll Trust You To:
- Own the end-to-end data ingestion of Ownership datasets including long positions and short position holdings data, transactional data, and derived datasets such as the free float field
- Analyze internal processes to find opportunities for improvement, as well as devise and implement innovative solutions
- Communicate and collaborate across team members and complementary teams including Engineering, Product, Enterprise Data, and Bloomberg Intelligence
- Design data models to create data storage solutions for our raw and enriched data and contribute to our data alignment strategy by following the FAIR data principles
- Develop data quality strategies for the Ownership datasets and implement scalable, lasting solutions
- Contribute to the creation of standard methodologies and guidelines for data management and governance
- Use data visualization skills to report on results of ongoing operations and projects, as required
- Keep up with the industry trends, standards, and innovation in the data quality domain
- Work in a fast paced, multifaceted & collaborative setting
You'll Need To Have:
- A BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or relevant data technology field, or equivalent professional work experience
- 4+ years’ experience in data analysis, financial market research, and/or information technology
- Proficiency using scripting languages (preferably Python) to build pre-processing services that can be integrated in our data pipelines
- A solid grasp of data modeling principles and technologies to perform requirements analysis, conceptual, logical, and physical modeling
- Experience profiling new datasets, and implementing high volume, low-latency ETL pipelines
- Understanding of quality assurance and quality control from a data and product per
