What we need:

 

As the Senior Windows Systems Architect, you will be the chief architect and strategist for our Windows ecosystem. You will lead in the development, planning, and execution of high-impact projects, setting the technological direction and ensuring our Windows systems are cutting-edge, scalable, and aligned with the company's long-term goals.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Strategic Leadership and Vision:

  • Develop and communicate the strategic vision for the Windows systems architecture.
  • Define and execute plans for system enhancement and future technology adoption.
  • Drive innovation, research, and implementation of emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and management.

System Architecture and Design:

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced Windows server solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of critical Windows server technologies.
  • Develop and enforce architectural standards and design principles.

Infrastructure Optimization:

  • Ensure the highest level of availability, reliability, and performance for the Windows server environment.
  • Implement advanced monitoring and analytics to proactively address issues.
  • Continuously optimize Windows server environments for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Work with vendors to ensure maintenance coverage for all relevant servers and equipment.

Security and Compliance Strategy:

  • Establish and enforce stringent security measures and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Proactively assess and mitigate security risks.
  • Define and oversee comprehensive security strategies and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with security teams to safeguard the Windows ecosystem.
  • System maintenance including patching using (Ivanti Security Controls.), upgrades, operating system fix installs, operating system upgrades and reboots.

Incident Resolution and Problem Solving:

  • Provide expert-level technical support for Windows-related issues and complex incidents.
  • Lead the resolution of intricate problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Act as the ultimate technical authority in resolving complex issues and incidents.
  • Implement advanced troubleshooting methods and root-cause analysis.

Documentation and Best Practices:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, standards, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by defining and promoting industry best practices.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Lead and mentor a team of system engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and share knowledge within the organization.

Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation:

  • Create and oversee comprehensive disaster recovery plans for Windows environments, including failover, backup, and data restoration strategies.
  • Ensure business continuity in the event of disruptions or disasters.

Other

  • Handle tasks/projects independently and complete within given timelines.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed and address issues during off hours.

 

What you have:

 

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical and/or related field required
  • At least 6+ years of experience in system engineering and management.
  • MCSA required, MCSE preferred.
  • Expertise in multiple versions of Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Expertise in configuring Microsoft Clustering.
  • Experience with Ivanti Security Controls
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft Windows Server VMs running in a VMWare environment.
  • Practical experience with OS operation, upgrades and security patching
  • Networking experience with the suite of TCP/IP, IP routing, NAT, firewalls
  • Experience with network
