We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join our CM team in Geismar, LA.

We are seeking a professional like you to manage maintenance execution and asset reliability at the Geismar, LA site. In this role, you will be directly responsible for planning the tasks of multi-discipline maintenance craft, work processes, outside service contractors and tools. You will provide technical leadership to ensure occupational safety, code compliant repairs, workmanship quality, and workforce skills development. You will also be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective execution of maintenance and production support services, in accordance with industry best in class maintenance processes to ensure effective asset reliability.
As a Mechanical Planner, you will
- Managing the unplanned work order backlog by reviewing backlog and planning list
- Clarifying incomplete or poorly defined work notifications
- Grouping work orders and/or notifications together that can be planned and completed as a single order.
- Completing job plans to ensure the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance work
- Creating job packets as needed which include job plans, technical documentation (e.g., photos, drawings, technical specifications, etc.) and feedback form
If you...
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Have at least 5 years ‘experience as a maintenance craftsperson, operations, and engineering activities in the chemical industry
- Possess maintenance planning and scheduling techniques
- Are proficient with computer systems and associated software, including SAP, Microsoft Office and Access.
- Have strong planning and organization skills
- Have strong oral and written communication and listening skills
