JOB DESCRIPTION:

Employer: Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC

 

Job Title: Engineer 3, SQD

 

Job Location: 35500 Chester Road, Avon, Ohio 44011

 

Work Hours: M-F, 8 am to 5 pm

 

Job Duties: Responsible for developing suppliers for braking systems in Quality and Product Safety; leading and championing the application of quality and problem-solving methodology; resolving high impact/complex issues at plant and supplier locations; leading and training IATF16949, VDA6.3, and PSA audit; managing suppliers through PAVE; ensuring success of APQP projects for suppliers (DMI+); defining and agreeing on actions with suppliers to meet PPM targets; developing suppliers’ systems in all aspects of quality and safety; assuring agreement for obtainable design/process controls; mentoring Supplier and Plant Quality Engineers in all the above processes.

 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.  Five (5) years of experience in Quality/Supplier Quality Engineering with electronic background.

 

Special skills required: Five years of experience with: APQP, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, IATF 16949; statistics; SAP; quality core tools; application of GD&T; and two (2) years of experience with PSA and QPMM.

 

Travel requirements: 40 – 70% domestic and international travel

 

Remote work/telecommuting: May work remote 2-3 days per week.
