Product Manager, WhatsApp

Businesses have also rapidly started to adopt the business API and business app. Conversational commerce enables businesses and customers to have a personal, natural and convenient relationship. We are looking to grow the business product team and this role is to ensure that business to consumer interactions are all high quality. It is still early days and you have an opportunity to shape the product and platform for how business to customer communication happens for billions of people.

WhatsApp is seeking an exceptional individual to help with product development for our business products, and other initiatives across the company. WhatsApp is a start-up environment where you’ll be expected to roll-up your sleeves and work collaboratively with engineers, designers and other cross-functional partners. You’ll expect to push the boundaries of what’s possible in a mobile app, how to deliver value to users and businesses while sharing in our healthy obsession for quality and attention to detail.Product Manager, WhatsApp Responsibilities

• Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative product features
• Drive product development from small features to entirely new products
• Work hands-on with designers and engineers to implement and build new features that meet our standards of simplicity and quality
• Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years product management or related experience in the tech industry
• Experience in product management or product design
• Experience reasoning from first principles and making decisions with minimal data
• Experience developing mobile products, technologies and platforms
• Experience crafting simple user experiences and executing them from start to finish
• Experience working in or interest in emerging markets
• Enthusiasm for and/or a frequent user of WhatsApp

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field
