Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift - The Toro Company

Starting Pay: $29.80 per hour
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 1:00pm-9:30pm, with overtime when needed.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Work in a safe manner and follow all Toro Safety Policies.
Change the location of machines and mechanical equipment in the plant as needed to meet production requirements.
Repair machinery using hand tools, gas and arc welding equipment and power-driven equipment.
Make periodic inspections of building, machinery and equipment and make adjustments and other services.
Maintain records on preventive and other maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems of production equipment.
Make minor repairs to the building and grounds as needed.
Maintain good housekeeping within the maintenance shop, work bench, and work site.
Complete, submit, and expedite for approval: purchase orders for stock, stock materials and replacement parts to ensure competitive pricing through salespersons and vendor contacts.
Maintain a preventive maintenance program covering all machinery and equipment.
Monitor and record daily/hourly as required by manufacturer on recordable equipment/machinery or as deemed necessary and report observations to supervisor.
Maintain acceptable levels of quality and productivity based on quality specifications and performance standards as determined by the needs of our customers.
Be able to use welders, lathe, mill, drill presses, horizontal saw, precision measuring equipment, and machining equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred
0–2 years of maintenance or related experience
Strong knowledge of tools and maintenance practices (i.e. air and electric)
Must be able to repair and drive forklifts and rebuild pumps, motors, etc. by using manuals and blueprints
Must have strong skills in troubleshooting, design, estimating, etc.
Must have strong computer, math, and recordkeeping skills
Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills
Must be able to work professionally with a variety of people
Must be able to work in a variety of working conditions and hours including overtime and weekends
Must be certified to operate a forklift or ability to obtain certification
Strong interpersonal skills in working with a variety of cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards
