Purpose and Job Summary
ORIX USA’s GP Solutions team is a leading provider of strategic capital to middle and lower middle-market private equity sponsors through NAV and GP management company finance solutions. ORIX USA GP Solutions is active across the full spectrum of GP Solutions transactions, including single fund NAV loans, diversified NAV loans, preferred equity fund financing, fund securitizations, and continuation vehicles. The group was established in 2022 and has been highly active since inception.
ORIX Corporation USA is seeking to hire an Investment Associate to support its GP Solutions investment strategy. In this role you will be an integral member of the GP Solutions investment team deploying capital on behalf of ORIX’s corporate balance sheet and third-party investors in Fund Finance transactions, with a particular emphasis on NAV finance. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with ties to Dallas to initiate an investment career within Fund Finance with significant upside and potential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Diligence: Conduct detailed analysis of new investment opportunities through review of transaction portfolios and sponsor capabilities; and quantitative analyses to assess financial performance of underlying assets in support of investment underwriting
Underwriting: Preparation of materials for Investment Committee consideration including investment memoranda, supporting documentation and analyses, and financial modeling
Monitoring: Management of the GP Solutions investment portfolio including review and synthesis of quarterly and annual reporting investment sponsors, internally constructed valuation analyses, preparation of quarterly and annual investment activity and performance reporting for investors, and annual third-party audit support
Other: Pipeline management; assist as needed with other assignments and in outside business development efforts; establish strong working relationships with other team members, operate effectively with limited oversight while meeting tight timelines
Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited top tier university with a degree in finance, economics, or related field with a 3.5 minimum GPA;
Extremely intellectually curious and highly self-motivated;
2+ years of experience in private equity, private credit, investment banking, consulting, or related fields with relevant internships;
Prior direct investing/investment banking or lending/credit experience preferred but not required;
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;
Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously;
Ability to work independently;<
