Overview and Career Interest:Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s HealthIT department seeks a qualified, highly experienced Imaging Analyst with analytics experience to join their innovative Enterprise Imaging team. HealthIT provides for the best health information technology tools that support Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s (VUMC) mission and commitments. Managing more than 2 million patient visits each year, VUMC is one of the largest academic medical centers in the Southeast. It is the primary resource for specialty and primary care in hundreds of adult and pediatric specialties for patients throughout Tennessee and the Mid-South. The School of Medicine’s biomedical research program is among the nation’s top 10 in terms of National Institutes of Health peer review funding, receiving more than $500 million in public and private awards during 2016.
The Medical Center is the region’s locus of postgraduate medical education, with over 1,000 residents and fellows training in more than 100 specialty areas. VUMC has a massive enterprise imaging repository with two decades of imaging data. In any given year, VUMC performs over 1,100,000 imaging studies. Job Summary:
As an Enterprise Imaging analyst, the individual would be primarily responsible for the full support of Enterprise Imaging applications, with special focus in Outside Imaging Exchange. This position includes analysis of day-to-day operational issues, break/fix, configuration, maintenance, upgrades and on-call rotations under occasional guidance.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage technologies and documentation related to exchanging radiology and cardiology imaging with outside sites.
Utilize project management concepts to plan and successfully execute projects related to new deployments, upgrades, and clinical expansion.
Responsible for ensuring the 24x7 stability and overall performance of the PACS systems to include associated applications, devices, and modalities that integrate with the PACS system.
Ability to troubleshoot modalities and associated 3rd party applications with the PACS systems such as configuring network configuration, modality worklist, and DICOM configurations.
Utilizing both clinical and technical skillsets, develop, maintain, and enhance clinical imaging workflows in collaboration with clinical operations.
Must be willing to serve as a liaison between clinicians, vendors, and other IT teams utilizing strong professional communication, and collaboration.
24x7 on call rotation including weekends and holidays.
Must remain current with industry imaging knowledge especially in relation to PACS and associated new trends.
