Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in Georgia. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and executing various HR functions, ensuring compliance with Georgia employment laws and document retention guidelines.


This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including recruitment, team member relations, performance management, and policy implementation. The HRBP will work closely with team members and leadership to foster a positive and productive work environment while maintaining accurate and secure HR records.


This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a thorough understanding of HR best practices and state-specific regulations.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Employment Law Compliance: Ensure company compliance with Georgia employment laws, including but not limited to wage and hour regulations and worker's compensation.
  • Document Retention: Manage and maintain HR records in accordance with Georgia state document retention guidelines, ensuring that all team member files are up-to-date and stored securely.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Facilitate the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Team Member Relations: Address team member inquiries and concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive work environment through effective communication and problem-solving strategies. Proactively look for ways to ensure the company culture is strong and avoid potential future interpersonal dysfunction.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee team member benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits. Assist team members with benefits enrollment and changes.
  • Performance Management: Support the performance review process by setting timelines for completion and ensuring related pay increases are entered timely into the HCM system.
  • Training and Development: Maintain training records, coordinate, and deliver training sessions when needed.
  • Policy Implementation: Oversee and enforce HR policies and procedures in alignment with Georgia state regulations and company goals.
  • HR Systems Management: Maintain team member data in the HR information systems (HRIS) to ensure accurate data management and reporting.
  • Workers Compensation: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of workers compensation claims and first reports of injury.
  • Internal Investigations: Under the guidance of the SVP of Human Resources, conduct any necessary fact-finding during internal investigations, compile reporting, and use and research the CCTV system.
  • Employee Engagement: Engage with the employees to understand and improve the employee experience and facilitate the organization's culture and engagement strategies. Set the tone for employee engagement, team building, and overall culture.
  • Communication: Establish a communication cadence with leaders of each business unit to understand the needs of each unit and how they tie into the overall needs of the business. Ensure to capture staffing needs and recruit.
  • Uniforms and Supplies: This role will also be in charge of ordering uniforms and HR-related supplies.
  • Project Management: Be strong in project management, working independently, and thriving in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment. Be unafraid to take risks to do the right thing with management and team members.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR equivalent work experience (4 years).
  • 2-3 years previous HR experience, preferably in an HRBP or HR generalist role.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365,
