A day in the life:
Diagnose user problems and questions, address complex problems on the mission critical statewide Public Safety Wireless system – the State’s primary wireless communication medium used in critical situations state-wide.
Troubleshoot major system failures of the state-wide voice and data radio, microwave systems, and multi-agency dispatch console and other Wireless, IS and Dispatch Center staff solve problems.
Lead, assist and coordinate with other Wireless staff in resolution of complex or large statewide systems problem identification, isolation, and repairs resulting in restoration of OSP, ODOT and other governmental organization’s Public Safety communications equipment.
Support the state’s Public Safety Radio System customers and dispatch centers for mobile and portable radio needs with repairs, programming, and assistance.
Mentor and assist other Wireless Technicians.
