Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Clerk, you are responsible for customer service, organizing, receiving, un/loading, checking, sorting, packing, and issuing materials.

Key Deliverables and Responsibility:

  • Efficiently receive, inspect, and validate incoming materials from various suppliers within established timeframes.  Promptly identify and complete reports for all non-confirming materials.
  • Issue material to customers according to policy.
  • Gather receiving documents and process in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Utilize appropriate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to unload inbound freight for delivery to customers and occasionally load outbound material returns.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while addressing safety hazards to their immediate supervisor.  Perform MHE equipment checks in accordance with equipment standards checklist.
  • Promote and maintain neat, clean, and well-organized work area and warehouse.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in a distribution warehouse environment helpful. May include military personnel who have been formerly trained or have relevant experience in lieu of civilian experience. 
  • Committed to providing the highest possible standards of customers service and support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to talk and conduct business in a confident, articulate, and professional manner.
  • Self-driven and proactive in nature.  Takes initiative to resolve challenges and complete tasks under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification (current certification preferred)
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, ,etc).
  • Ability to obtain Base Access.
