Commercial insights manager

Your Key Roles & Responsibilities as a Commercial insights manager: 

• You co-develop (with the Director Research & Insights) the strategy and plans for providing Telenet Commercial stakeholders with the best possible commercial insights to run the business 
• You work closely with business leaders in Telenet (RES and SOHO), BASE (BASE and TADAAM) and Entertainment Commercial Value Streams to identify and prioritize requests for commercial insights 
• You own, run and improve the data products that serve commercial insights proactively to the business (for example, Yellow/Ocean books, factbooks) as well as a set of relevant business dashboards and you set up a pipeline of new data products 
• You own, run and improve the process to collect ad-hoc requests from the business. You proactively drive prioritization, ensure alignment and manage expectations with all involved stakeholders, including business stakeholder and data leadership 
• You own and prioritise the resulting backlog of work for the team 
• You provide direction to the team by bringing clarity on WHAT the team needs to deliver and WHY this has to happen  
• You guide the team to increase quality of outputs, working together with the Insights & Reporting Guild 
• You ensure that the output of the team incorporates external perspectives, customer perspectives (e.g. from market research provided by the market research team) and insights from internal data analysis, packaged up into one whole that drives towards action and impact 
• As a member of the Research & Insights cluster leadership and the Data Tribe leadership, you take up leadership tasks as required, such as owning change initiatives for the Cluster or Tribe 
• You work closely with Talent Lead on bringing out the best out of the team as a whole and its individual members.  

Your profile: 

• You have strong business and leadership skills 
• A sharp understanding of how data can be used to drive the business. 
• Strong storyteller skills and the ability to deliver a message with impact. 
• Excellent negotiating and influencing skills to deal with conflicting priorities and ambiguity. 
    
• Mastery of the ‘management consulting toolkit’ (whether gained in management consulting or elsewhere) is a (big) plus, with valued skillset incl. slide writing, business casing, prioritization, stakeholder management, written communication and presentation skills (pyramid principle) 
• You have a can-do mentality, resilience, an agile mindset and experience with dealing with change in an organization. 
• You can say ‘no’ graciously and effectively. In other words: you can prioritize and you can explain why you made choices to your stakeholders 
• You speak English fluently. Speaking Dutch or French is a plus but not a requirement. 
• You have a Master or equal by experience 

What is not required: 

• Whilst all people in your team have solid knowledge of dashboard tools (Qlik) and querying (SQL), this is not a requirement for the PO role.  
• Expertise in telecom 
• Experience with line management. The role does not include line management of the team members, which is provided by the Talent Lead.
