About the role:

The Cloud Solution Design Architect will be part of the service development team within Capital Markets and will be responsible to work with business and technical teams to develop new recurring services and enhance existing services.

What you will be doing:

• Develop technical initiatives including assessment studies & analysis, sizing & capacity planning, service design, competitive & financial analysis, technical & solution presentation, and product technical skill for supporting Demo, PoC and Benchmark activities.
• Collaborate with various teams and contribute towards releasing recurring services offering by:
• Providing inputs on the architecture, operational model, and cost in production
• Developing documentation for operations and sales collateral
• Work effectively in a matrix organization and achieve the service design goals and objectives.
• Provide technical guidance to new/non-technical team members and business teams
• Be a subject matter expert and assist sales & presales with client facing discussions regarding the services you have designed

What you will need:

• 5+ years of experience of building recurring services solutions
• A demonstrated understanding of public cloud infrastructure, applications, deployment models
• Have a good understanding of public cloud cost models & drivers
• Experience working on solutions deployed in the public cloud (AWS, Azure)
• Understanding of cloud native technologies
• Understanding of Network, Storage and associated operating systems, associated private cloud and multi-tenant compute also hybrid VDC solutions.
• Exposure to developing cost, pricing models and business case for recurring/SaaS services hosted on the public cloud.
• A working knowledge of DevOps, understanding how to position and align with public cloud services through the design process
• Data ingress/egress strategies
• Good communication skills, fluent in English
• Financial Services exposure is a plus.

Technologies:

• AWS & Azure cloud native – EKS, RDS, Networking, storage, replication, disaster recovery strategies
• TerraForm (or similar) – understand coded delivery of public cloud services
• Windows stack – Windows Server, SQL, storage, deployment networking best practices
• Relevant monitoring and security applications based on public cloud deployments
• Nice to have –
• Python
• PowerShell
• Ruby
• Java

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• AWS/Azure certifications a plus
• Financial Services experience is a plus

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $117,620.00 - $197,580.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
