Job Description:

The Collateral Center of Excellence (CCoE), is a centralized commercial operations group of specially trained commercial collateral experts that will manage, maintain, and monitor all collateral data needs for the commercial bank, throughout the loan lifecycle. This group will ultimately provide oversight for the Bank's collateral needs, and will ensure data quality, completeness, and accuracy. Responsibilities include managing collateral and the associated data through the life cycle of the loans, collateral data quality, working with other areas to capture, ensure quality control and maintenance of collateral filings across the loan lifecycle; and supporting required collateral inputs to various stakeholder reporting. 

The Credit Management Associate Supervisor I is responsible for supervising a team of Credit Management Associates, performing underwriting support and portfolio administration functions in accordance with Bank policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. The Credit Management Associate Supervisor I ensures consistent training, advice and guidance to staff members on practices and procedures, participates in development and management of unit budget, and identifies weaknesses and coordinates training for commercial personnel as needed. The Credit Management Associate Supervisor I is primarily responsible for the supervision of day-to-day activities with the daily operations of workflow, staff support, training & mentoring, performance appraisals, and complex problem resolution.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Supervises and trains a team of Employees who provide ongoing support to an assigned commercial customer account portfolio within credit management
  • Supervisor role requires nCino processes and administration of complex loan structures as needed, no more than 25%          
  • Manages an assigned account portfolio for new and existing commercial customers to provide consistent professional service and support throughout the total lifecycle of each account 
  • Works independently in resolving more complex issues relating to origination process through booking
  • Assists with the uploading of due diligence received during underwriting, to the image repository system, in preparation of Loan Specialist assignment                  
  • Assists in preparing and implementing training material on an ongoing basis for Credit Management Associates
  • Prepares in-depth reports when required                                    
  • May lead  projects to develop, implement, maintain and improve procedures in commercial banking
  • Responsible for optimizing technology utilization within the Credit Management Associate function
  • Demonstrates functional and technical expertise required to perform core aspects of the job (includes systems, regulations, laws and accepted industry practices)
  • Responsible for integrating documentation, processes and lending procedures when new banks are acquired
  • Establishes goals and objectives for staff and plays a key role in shaping and influencing initiatives to meet and exceed requirements
  • Exercises authority of the operations division concerning personnel actions including staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations
  • Responsible for staff development and ensuring team preparedness; encourages, engages and provides feedback in a timely manner
  • Ensures effective communications and information sharing with Team, internal Customers, contacts and vendors as needed; may seek ways to improve effectiveness of communications and implements changes as
