Aircraft Structures Mechanic III Position Summary

The Aircraft Structures Mechanic III role is an entry-level position designed for recent graduates of Technical or A&P schools, as well as mechanics with fewer than five years of heavy aircraft experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision.

  • Proficiently use FAA-approved data, such as IPC, M/M, OHM, and SRM.

  • Ensure work adheres to high-quality standards.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.

  • May or may not have an A and/or P license, FCC license, or repairman's certificate.

  • Some sheet metal experience (including relative experience outside of Aviation).

  • Must possess and be able to skillfully use the minimum tools required.

  • 6 months Helper experience with successful completion of 40-hour Sheetmetal class.

  • Candidates without experience in Aviation Sheetmetal must successfully complete 120 hours of General Aviation Training (OJT).

  • Must possess the ability to learn.
