Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for the development of standard costing analysis that support operations and sales. They work closely with manufacturing personnel to analyze standard costs associated with production processes. The Financial Systems Analyst is expected to provide reports that specify and compare factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. They will assist with internal audits of cycle counts and physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and reliability in inventory data. They will monitor inventory through periodic audits and quarterly reserve analysis for excess and obsolete inventory. The Financial Systems Analyst will play a vital role in analyzing costs, optimizing efficiency, and providing valuable insights to decision-makers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Executing closing operations of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Advisory and control function for the financial statements of BTG in SAP.
- Collaborate with implementation of group specifications in the monthly and annual financial statements.
- Collaborate and implement planning activities within cost center accounting.
- Collect cost information and maintain an expense database.
- Construct data accumulation systems.
- Determine fixed costs.
- Plan and record variable costs.
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
- Prepare budgeting reports.
- Analyze and report profit margins.
- Prepare cost forecasts.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee and analyze cost expenditures and purchases within the organization.
- Collaborate with other accountants and financial staff in the company to provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads who establish goals and budgets for the organization.
- Collect and analyze data about the company’s operational costs.
- Introduce new processes within cost accounting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Individual Contributor
Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs.
