In fact, Hopper is recovering faster than the sector at large and that is driven in large part by the performance of our unique fintech products which offer travelers an unparalleled level of flexibility and control. In 2021, Hopper will enter Europe, the world’s largest regional travel market to extend the success achieved in the North American Market (NAM) and benefit a larger user group.<br/>As Director of Hotels business, Europe, you will be overseeing the entirety of Hopper’s Hotels business growth in Europe, which means you will be responsible for strategy making, team build-up, marketplace development and revenue goals of Hotels in Europe markets. On behalf of Hopper Hotels in the Europe markets, you will utilize both deep industry knowledge and connections in Europe to build the relationships with hotels in the local market, tailor the products to the local users and thus establish a strong footprint of Hopper hotels in Europe. The role requires outstanding sales, management, and analytical skills. <br/>To succeed at Hopper you must have passion for travel and hospitality, love to shop and buy products on your phone, and prefer a start up culture to big company bureaucracy. You should be stimulated by growing and empowering your team and enjoy being in the field managing and developing ongoing relationships. You should also be ambitious about your career and eager to take on expanded responsibilities as Hopper grows.
<h3>Responsibilities </h3>
<ul>
<li>Build up a holistic business expansion strategy for Europe hotels in support of the entirety of Hopper’s Europe expansion</li><li>Own a set of revenue goals related to Hopper’s hotels business in Europe markets</li><li>Build up Business Development (BD)/Market Management (MM) team to improve hotels pricing and selections for key markets</li><li>Help the team negotiate complex deals that optimize Hopper’s direct Hotel supply and revenue opportunity</li><li>Work with Product & Development team to tailor Hopper’s merchandising and offerings to the local markets</li><li>Work with the marketing team to acquire desired market share in key markets</li><li>Educate Hopper colleagues on market dynamics and specific needs/requests from your portfolio</li></ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree required</li><li>10+ years of relevant experience in the Hospitality industry, with 3+ years established leadership experience</li><li>Strong knowledge and experience in Europe Hospitality industry</li><li>Ability to craft and deliver compelling and data driven presentations</li><li>Capacity to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial and fast paced environment with minimal guidance</li><li>Comfortable working with a globally distributed team and flexible to frequently travel within Europe</li><li>Excellent prioritization and time management skills with the ability to distinguish urgent from important work</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse, field-based team</li><li>An innovative and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving</li><li>No ego.
