In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains.  Our newer Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility in Clayton, NC sits on 825,000 square-feet of state-of-the-art equipment, and houses the Fermentation, Recovery and Purification in the production of ingredients for Novo Nordisk’s innovative oral products.  At API, you’ll join a global network of manufacturing professionals who are passionate about what they do.

The Position

Provide & coordinate maintenance & services to the facility in a cost-effective manner. Works independently on projects of moderate complexity.

Manager.

 

Essential Functions

• Assists in management & execution of contracts for services while improving value
• Maintains the facility & responds timely to building maintenance requests
• Responsible for physical condition of building & grounds
• Responsible for planning & performing work relating to general repair of buildings such as installing & relocating building or office fixtures & minor repairs to building, walls, floors, stairs, general carpentry, etc.
• Routinely audits building & parking lot cleanliness & maintenance
• May provide training, direction, and mentoring to team members when needed
• Participates with spill response & first aid teams in coordination with EHS
• Updates Facility Management share-point site & records
• Supports execution of shipping, receiving & non-GMP warehouse tasks as needed
• Provides back up support for waste management & fire protection systems
• Follows all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
• Other duties as assigned

 

Physical Requirements

Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazard
