Active and existing security clearance required after day 1We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer II to join our Supplier Designed Equipment (SDE) Engineering team within the Electro-Mechanical Interface Devices (EMIDS) group supporting Environmental Control Systems (ECS) programs.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative electro-mechanical interface devices that integrate electronic controls with critical fuel systems. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional engineering and project management team in a fast-paced environment, supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through implementation.

What You Will Do
Supporting the design and integration of EMIDS in accordance with Collins’ product development process, including requirements development, design, verification, validation, and production incorporation.
Generating and maintaining project schedules with clearly defined dependencies, deliverables, and critical paths.
Developing and managing project risks and mitigation plans.
Providing clear and concise communication with peers and Collins leadership.
Managing and coordinating hardware development configurations throughout the engineering process.
Conducting Relentless Root Cause & Corrective Action (RRCCA) investigations for field and production engine test component removals.
Understanding, developing, and executing development and qualification test procedures and reports.
Analyzing, interpreting, and reporting test results.
Verifying that internal processes are executed effectively to reduce the probability of engineering setbacks.
Reading and interpreting drawings, providing markups, and coordinating drawing releases.
Reviewing supplier technical capabilities.
Supporting cost and weight reduction initiatives.
Supporting process improvement initiatives and Engineering Standard Work.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Prior experience in project engineering
