About the Role
WebFX is seeking an entry-level candidate for our Interactive Design team! Our ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree (or will soon have one!), a background in and eye for design, and is excited about building a career in digital design. Basic design skills and background are expected, but no years of professional experience are required - we'll train you on what you need to know.
The Qualifications: Who You Are
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree: All majors welcome!
GPA: 3.4 or above
(Upcoming grads are encouraged to apply - we interview and hire up to a year in advance!)
Design Portfolio:
A design portfolio submission is required to be considered - there are no set requirements for how many design samples must be included, but we want to get a sense of your design style and skills!
Suggested Experience and Skills:
Prior experience working, in any field (for example: a part-time job, summer job, internship, etc)
A strong design eye, and an understanding of design fundamentals such as layout, hierarchy, typography, etc
Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma
Familiarity with web design/UX best practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Tools/Technical Skills:
(Not required, but awesome to have!)
Excel/Google Suite
Basic HTML/CSS
Wordpress, or a similar content management system

The Job Responsibilities: What You'll Learn to Do
Design Websites and User Experiences
(About 40% of your day)
Partner with project managers and web developers to design websites for clients and businesses across a range of industries
Design website layouts, including homepages, landing pages, interior pages, etc
Improve website usability and overall user experience through testing and revisions
Create Marketing Graphics and Digital Advertising Materials
(About 40% of your day)
Create promotional graphics, infographics, social media branding and identity, and other branded marketing materials
Design online advertisements for client campaigns
Support digital marketing efforts with visually engaging designs
Enjoy a high level of variety in your work, with our designers regularly involved in over 300+ projects per year
Learn Website Editing and Front-End Basics
(About 20% of your day)
Perform light website edits using HTML and CSS (training provided on the job)
Grow your front-end coding skills through hands-on experience and mentorship

This position is based fully in-office at our riverside campus in Harrisburg, PA, with opportunities for this to evolve as Fxers advance in their career tenure.
Compensation
$48,500 - $50,500 (potentially higher based on work experience)
