Senior Test Automation Network Engineer

The team you'll be part of

Test Automation Engineer comprises the integration of SW and HW into real networks and verifies the integrated entity or network against particular requirements and specifications. Covers setup and maintenance of laboratory and associated equipment, tools, and devices.

Test Automation Engineer conducts target-oriented research to directly apply findings to the specification, design, further development, and incremental improvement of products, services, systems, tools, processes, etc. Integrates, verifies, tests, and modifies SW and HW components and capitalizes on innovative solutions to meet particular requirements and specifications.

• Analyze, define and issue the test strategy and test plan on new hardware, feature or release 
• Design and implement automated test scenarios using Robot Framework 
• Develop or adapt Python functions and keywords necessary for the realization of Automated scenarios used by the whole X-haul R&D 
• Implement and maintain the test automation environment used for feature, release and CI/CD testing (tests capabilities, tools, software upgrade, hardware upgrades, topologies) 
• Execute test as per plan and respecting R&D processes 
• Tests status reporting and defect management 
• Result analysis, troubleshooting of issues to provide accurate diagnosis 
• Continuous improvement of practices, methodologies and processes. Root Cause Analysis anytime meaningful 
• Close collaboration and interactions with System Architecture, design and program management teams 
• Take over deep technical ownership of certain product’s areas, become reference point within the team for driving issues towards their resolution. 
   

 

You have:

• Recommended experience or relevant Beng / Master’s / PhD involvement on Telecom/Networking or Systems and Signals Transmission or programming & scripting languages
• Demanded: excellent relational skills, involving a capacity to interact and collaborate with peers. Ability to learn from others and contribute to the development of the team knowledge. 
• Good verbal and written communication skills. 
• Curiosity and creativity are needed to build challenging and realistic tests scenario and use cases. 
• Strong method, high rigor, analytic and troubleshooting skills are key. 
• Capacity to adapt to a complex and large environment, but also on short term planning evolution. 
• English language is mandatory as job is positioned in an international environment. 
• IP Networking Traffic & Routing understanding 
• OS Windows & Linux, network administration knowledge, familiar with basic shell scripting 
• Basic understanding of Python scripting language for test automation 
• Continuous integration and continuous delivery CI/CD understanding 
• Selenium and Robot Framework skills 
• Digital transmission TDM, Radio transmission and Microwave knowledge
