Your new responsibilities

Packaging Grade 7 Section Lead work closely with the Supervisor to support the overall production activities in the Packaging department to ensure assembly and packaging of finished products for final shipment to the customer.  They ensure the safety, quality, and production systems are administered and adhered to daily. Section Leader guide associates’ activities and provide feedback in collaboration with the Line Supervisor. 

• Will cross train to both Blister Packaging Section Lead as well as ZXE/Hand Packaging Section Lead Positions.
• Works in direct cooperation with their supervisor daily.
• Works in direct collaboration with the planner daily.
• Aligns the daily production schedule for the warehouse to pick kits for the department.
• Aligns daily production schedule for the Print shop and Blister Pack lines.
• Provides training and support for all packaging associates.
• Ensures documentation and production tracking, utilization, QRQC, process checks, Quality assurance checks, and production credits are completed and current.
• Supports the Safety and Housekeeping expectations.
• Assists the cycle count process.
• Covers all other jobs as applicable to ensure production continuity.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

What we look for

Packaging associates are required to pass the manual dexterity test.  They must be able to meet production requirements for machine standards as well as manual pack standards while maintaining product integrity at the set pace. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to work with heavy machinery that indexes while hand loading, as well as maintain awareness while working around industrial lift traffic. Requires standing/walking throughout the department frequently on a continual basis. Have excellent organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail. The Grade 8 Section Lead must have good computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft, word, excel, SAP, Loft ware, as well as Camstar.
