Job Description:

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with

specialization in Java technologies and an extensive background in the retail domain. As a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java and Microservices, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our retail-focused software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and enhance software applications that empower retailers to optimize operations, elevate customer experiences, and achieve business growth.

 

Key Responsibili3es:

  1. Java and Microservices Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java and microservices architecture, following best practices and coding standards.
  2. Retail Domain Exper3se: Leverage your deep knowledge of the retail industry to comprehend business requirements, identify opportunites for technological innovation, and contribute to the development of retail-specific features and solutions.
  3. Microservices Architecture and Design: Collaborate with architects and senior developers to create scalable and maintainable microservices architectures and designs aligned with business objectives.
  4. Code Reviews: Actively engage in code reviews to ensure code quality, conformity with coding standards, and knowledge sharing among team members.
  5. Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical issues and propose innova8ve solu8ons to overcome challenges, ensuring software reliability and high performance.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that address customer needs.
  7. Documentation: Produce and maintain technical documentation, including microservices architecture diagrams, API documentation, and coding guidelines.
  8. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and assist in issue resolution.

 

We are excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience
  • Extensive professional experience as a Java software engineer with a proven track record of delivering complex projects in the retail domain.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and related technologies.
  • Strong grasp of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in Java or microservices are advantageous.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $131,200.00 - $166,500.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; empl
