Product Development – Powertrain ICE Finance Analyst

As a Product Development ICE Finance analyst, you will have the opportunity to deliver on Ford’s Cost and Quality initiatives for future Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) programs. This position partners with our Product Development team (Cost Estimating, Engineering, Purchasing, Program Finance) to source parts and address changes in future model vehicles and regulatory environment. We are a part of the ICE Propulsion Thermal Systems Engineering (IPTSE) and Electrified Systems organizations and are relied upon to provide financial guidance, calculate business cases, and maintain accurate reporting for both material cost and investment on future programs. We are a trusted business partner and empowered to be the Controller for your vehicle program commodities.  

What you'll do…

• Lead and support the vehicle target setting process for Powertrain (Cost Workshops)  

• Partner with the internal Business Partners (Cost Estimating, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance) to source commodities at or better than target. 

• Calculate business cases and perform scenario analysis (e.g., IRR) weighing Ford’s cost of debt vs. projected return. 

• Partner with Unit and Program Finance to accurately report latest material cost, investment, and risks & opportunities (R&Os) for pre-<PA> programs.  

• Present milestone financial status to matched pairs and Finance management. 

You'll have…

• Finance 5+ yr experience required with strong analytical skills. 

• Product Development Finance experience preferred. 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including being comfortable presenting to Operating Management. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, use of AI tools / Power BI to create process efficiencies.
