**This is a hybrid position and will require 3 days a week office work starting in June 2025. The prefered location is The Woodlands. TX but New Orleans, LA, Jackson, MS or Little Rock, AR may be considered. Reloation assitance and sponsorhsip is not provided**
Job Summary/Purpose:
This role supports, and applies IT standards and procedures, as well as provide operational support for real-time and network systems. The specialist performs a wide variety of routine and non-routine maintenance of network activities, including but not limited to performance operations, change and incident management, routine operations planning, maintenance, and root cause analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides planning, guidance, and direction for the analysis, implementation, testing, debugging and documentation of network operations for critical network components and systems.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools items as Cisco Prime, DNAC, and automation tools.
- Triage, resolve, and assigns tickets for network support in the SNOW queue and via establishment of single point for callouts.
- Provides input and commentary to the development and revision of procedures and policies relevant to the network operations.
- Respond as Data Network representative in an ‘on-call’ 24x7 rotation to resolve emergent issues in both Corporate and OT network environments.
- Interact and coordinate with vendors, outsources, and contractors to support network products and services.
- Participates analysis of incident response policies, takes an active role in network incident response and recovery and the identification of performance issues in the network.
- Provides a Tier 1 technical support on network issues and technologies. Responsible for assuring that networking systems are monitored.
- Participates in major incidents and technical troubleshooting activities.
- Create and maintain technical network documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Coordinate, document, and participate in change management processes for the network projects and activities.
- Implement new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
Minimum Education Required for the Position:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience Required for the Position:
- IT Specialist II: 2+ years of relevant experience
- IT Specialist SR: 4+ years of relevant experience, Network Associate – i.e. CCNA, JNCIA, etc.
Critical Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required for the Position:
- Experience in supporting network configurations and equipment.
- Knowledge of the network operations.
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of incident and change management.
