Job Description

The Incumbent should be an experienced market maker and volatility trader (Prop positions) for Cotton Options for a leading international trade house.

 

Key Performance Matrices include:

·         Responsible for Managing the Cotton prop desk within within the Agricultural complex.

·         Responsible for refining / further developing on the existing price forecasting models for the grains complex.

·         Maintaining and running the S&D balances for the complex with the support of an analyst.

·         Monitoring the day-to-day developments in the Cotton market and industry.

·         Develop models / trading strategies for crush, time & inter product spread trading.

·         Part of the team for developing investment strategies across all Agri commodities.

Requirements

·         Have 7-10 years of trading (Prop) experience in the Cotton industry (preferably with top trading house and / or a bank or a commodity hedge fund)

·         Have very good knowledge & insights into the Cotton industry and its supply and demand dynamics.

·         Have very good knowledge & understanding of the derivatives markets and instruments.

·         Have run a prop book on the futures markets – involving futures, options, calendar and product spreads.

·         Have strong analytical and conceptual skills.

·         Preferably have a basic understanding of statistics
