Responsible for managing and leading complex internal employee communications and the development and design of highly complex external Public Relations (PR) communications programs. This job title is used exclusively for employees that roll up into the Corporate Communications business unit.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, manage, and execute tactical internal communications that are specifically focused on and customized for our frontline workforce.
  • Write and oversee the publication of multiple types of media for the purpose of reaching our frontline employees, including articles, videos, microsites, banner ads, newsletters, brochures, social media content, and other materials.
  • Coordinate with key communicators on our frontline teams at all levels, planning and strategizing communications to reach our frontline employees through the channels they most prefer.
  • Leverage metrics, research, focus groups, and survey feedback to better inform our frontline communications strategy and tactics.
  • Directly interact with key stakeholders across our retail, care, field services, and enterprise organizations to uncover best practices and preferences that we can apply to our frontline communications approach.
  • May provide frontline-related messaging to support events, including video scripts, talking points, or background materials.
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of industry trends affecting the company, often with a frontline lens, and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
  • As directed, manage special projects as the subject matter expert in support of the broader team.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a communications-related field preferred.
  • Must be willing to come into the Dallas headquarters five days a week.
  • Must have several years of experience in internal communications at a Fortune 100 company, showing increasing responsibilities throughout their career journey.
  • Must have experience communicating to large, spread-out, frontline workforces—preferably with organizations represented by a union.
  • Must have strong relationship-building skills, with not only senior leaders but also with frontline supervisors and their support organizations.
  • Must have strong writing skills—with examples to show.
  • Must have excellent project management skills.
  • Must have the ability to collaborate with peers/colleagues/subject matter experts on a variety of topics.
  • Must be a self-starter and want to be a constant “learner.”
  • Must have experience making data-driven decisions when evaluating communications effectiveness.
  • Must have experience trying different tactics to reach different segments of the employee population.
  • Presentation skills preferred.
  • Experience managing a communications plan, from ideation to execution, is needed in this role.

Education: Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a Communications discipline.
