INTRODUCTION OF THE POST
Under the supervision of the Head of The National Central Bureau (NCB) Coordination Desk for the EUROPE, the INTERPOL Senior Liaison Officer Europol-The HAGUE is responsible for representing INTERPOL, facilitating the exchange of operational information, monitoring, and stimulating the co-operation with EUROPOL and its members.
The incumbent will be required to support projects covering INTERPOL’s strategic law enforcement activities in EUROPOL.
He/she will be directly responsible as well as assisting the Head of Desk to plan programs, projects, and a budget cycle.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Represent INTERPOL at EUROPOL in meetings and/or conferences and manage general co-operation between the two organizations.
DUTY 2
- Maintain and contribute to the active cooperation with EUROPOL and its members working towards security and fighting organized crime.
- Promote and enhance the co-operation and relations with EUROPOL and its members, identify co-operation problems and propose solutions.
DUTY 3
- Conduct regional activities in line with the INTERPOL Global Strategic Framework.
- Coordinate regional joint operations (drugs, firearms smuggling, trafficking in human beings, cybercrimes, Financial Crimes among others).
- Follow investigations and operations by all Member Countries for EUROPOL and provide capacity building and training on same crime areas to NCB staff and Law Enforcement Agencies.
