Position Overview:

The Emergency nurse's primary function is to work in the Emergency Department. This nurse acts as a team member in the Trauma Department when necessary.

Job Description:

EDUCATION

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor's: BSN Preferred

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

• Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN Required

• Basic Life Support Certification - BLS Required

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS Required

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support  - PALS Required

• Trauma Nursing Core Course - TNCC within 180 days of hire/transfer

• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) within 2 years

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 6 months or less clinical experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Demonstrates working knowledge of patient care techniques, medications, treatments and general health care procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to:
• • provide basic patient care to a diverse patient population
• • read/interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
• • write legibly and effectively present ideas, document activities
• • demonstrate leadership abilities
• • deal with problems involving several variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Pay Range is $74.74 to $74.74 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
