Senior Business Operations Manager – Expedia & Portfolio Brands

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business Operations to join Expedia & Portfolio Brands Business team. This role will be responsible for diving deep into customer data to help identify ways to solve customer pain points and enhance experiences, bringing our cross-LOB strategic initiatives to life, and managing business reviews and the overall operations of our business team.

In this role, you will:

  • Customer Insights Mining & Opportunity Identification: Enhance customer experiences by analyzing traveler feedback, identifying top pain points and opportunities and implementing strategies to improve to traveler experience across touchpoints.

  • Business Operations: Manage the overall operations of the business team including oversight of strategic project tracking and management, support the development of monthly and quarterly business reviews, manage product reviews, and work with business leads to maintain the business team confluence hub.

  • Strategic Project Management: Lead strategic initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams to scope, prioritize, and manage impactful cross-LOB projects that enhance customer experience and drive business growth.

  • Opportunity Identification & Sizing: Conduct data-driven analyses to size business opportunities, evaluate trade-offs, and develop financial models that inform decision-making.

  • Planning: Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Analytics, Product & Tech, Supply, Analytics and Finance teams to build forward looking annual / 3-year strategic and operational plans.

Experience and qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree (Business Management, Economics, Finance), MBA preferred; or equivalent in related professional experience 

  • 8+ years of business management, B2C ecommerce or B2C strategy.

  • Curious and passionate, with a desire to continuously learn more, which you use to understand business operations and the levers that drive profitable growth  

  • Experience managing and implementing multiple, complex project workstreams.

  • Strength in synthesizing customer data, developing insights and defining actionable plans to improve customer experiences.  

  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams, influence and align stakeholders to achieve successful business outcomes without direct organizational authority 

  • Experience driving operational efficiency, reviewing processes, improving workflows and tracking, managing business reviews and ensuring team collaboration.

  • Motivated by goal achievement and continuous improvement, with enthusiasm and strive to motivate your team and the wider organization

  • Experience with Confluence preferred.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
