Purpose Statement
The Sr. Manager, Revenue Growth Management (RGM)- Pricing & Assortment will drive accelerated sales and profitability of our retail branded business through the development and implementation of RGM capabilities. Specifically, this role will lead and execute pricing and assortment analytics across our portfolio of retail categories and brands, supporting strategic decision-making and delivering actionable insights for the US and Canada region. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the sales organization’s capability to deliver profitable growth as part of a unified customer strategy. In addition to the day-to-day focus on Pricing and Assortment levers, this role will also be accountable for the broader utilization of all RGM levers through a small team of direct reports.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
Pricing and Assortment Analytics
· Design and implement core pricing and assortment strategies within the broader RGM framework, utilizing tools such as elasticity analysis and switching patterns to drive data-informed pricing recommendations.
· Analyze product performance to ensure we have the right mix of products to meet customer needs while optimizing growth and profitability.
· Define and manage channel-specific pricing slopes and long-term pricing trajectories aligned with CPI.
· Drives innovation by integrating new data sources and enhancing analytics tools to identify trends and uncover opportunities.
Market and Competitive Analysis
· Analyze market trends and deliver detailed reports on brand, product, and service line performance.
· Evaluate competitive dynamics, volumes, margins, and market shifts to inform decision-making.
· Analyze volume, margin, and competitive market dynamics and be able to provide a consolidated view of competitor activities that can be used to identify growth opportunities.
Execution Monitoring and Reporting
· Consolidate and create comprehensive summary reports and scorecards for pricing performance.
· Participate in regular performance reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.
Pricing Guidelines and Sales Collaboration
· Build, update, and maintain pricing guidelines across categories and brands.
· Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop compelling, market-facing sell-in stories as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Division Leads, Marketing, Sales, and Finance, to integrate RGM into broader commercial processes such as annual planning, trade budgeting, demand planning and ad hoc competitive responses.
· Lead change management efforts to drive adoption and integration of RGM principles and ways of working across the USC organization.
Leadership Development
· Provides both strategic coaching and mentoring to the RGM Promotion and Trade teams, including the RGM Promotions Manager and RGM Trade Manager, to ensure alignment with organizational goals, support professional development, and deliver day-to-day operational excellence.
· Stay up-to-date with food retail industry trends, RGM best practices, and technological advancements (including Artificial Intelligence), to continuously improve RGM strategies and performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or related disciplines required (e.g., Mathematics, Economics), with strong quantitative aptitude; MBA preferred.
· Five years of experience in a finance, marketing, or business related role with a minimum of two in a Revenue Growth Management role for a CPG company, ideally in the food industry.
· Experience and knowledge of RGM should span the Pricing, Assortment, Promotions and Trade levers, with a proven history of driving commercial results and achieving targets.
· Strong advanced analytics and high familiarity working with syndicated data tools.
· Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen; ability to surface valuable insights from data and develop actionable recommend
