Job Summary

The Specialist, Production Asset Management supports Comcast’s production teams by organizing, maintaining, and optimizing access to digital media assets across the company’s creative and production environments. This role is responsible for ingesting, tagging, cataloging, and distributing video, audio, and photography assets to ensure they are easily discoverable and properly archived. The Specialist works closely with producers, editors, and creative partners to maintain metadata accuracy, enforce file-naming conventions, and streamline the use of digital assets in production workflows.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Asset Ingestion & Cataloging 

    • Ingest and organize incoming media assets including video, audio, and photography for use in production and post-production workflows. 

    • Tag assets with accurate metadata, descriptions, and rights information following established standards. 

    • Ensure all content is properly formatted, versioned, and stored within the digital asset management (DAM) or media management system. 

    • Maintain asset structure and taxonomy to support efficient search, retrieval, and usage. 

    Metadata & Organization 

    • Develop and apply metadata standards to ensure consistency across all production assets. 

    • Conduct regular quality checks to validate metadata accuracy and completeness. 

    • Work with production, design, and editorial teams to refine tagging structures and improve searchability. 

    • Support efforts to migrate, consolidate, or reclassify legacy assets as needed. 

    Access & Distribution 

    • Manage asset access requests from internal teams and external partners, ensuring proper permissions and licensing compliance. 

    • Support secure file delivery and version tracking for active projects and production workflows. 

    • Coordinate with engineering and IT teams to resolve access, sync, or file transfer issues. 

    • Monitor asset usage to ensure adherence to rights and usage agreements. 

    Workflow Support & Collaboration 

    • Partner with production and creative teams to understand asset needs and optimize asset management processes. 

    • Assist editors and producers in locating and retrieving required content quickly. 

    • Collaborate with post-production teams to align file structures and versioning conventions. 

    • Provide training and support to users on proper asset tagging and retrieval processes. 

    System Maintenance & Improvement 

    • Maintain the integrity and performance of the digital asset management system. 

    • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, tagging workflows, and asset accessibility.
