What you will be doing
This role is responsible for strong execution and maintenance of client relationship(s).
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interfaces and communicates with health system leadership and decision makers of assigned accounts.
- Oversees contract execution
- Monitors and trends reasons for denied claims and takes action to resolve issues that adversely affect patient experience or the client.
- Works directly with key facility staff to proactively resolve barriers that may have negative effects for the client or patient, providing timely updates to their manager when unable to resolve any issues independently.
- Coordinates efforts between Field, COE, and Operations Managers.
- Serve as implementation SMEs
- Reports regularly to Management providing updates on assigned clients’ status and issues that may be barriers to maximizing assigned client’s opportunity.
- Assists the Implementation Team in the transition of accounts to Patient Access and Affordability Team, coordinating training and requesting and procuring reports as needed to support remotely managed access and affordability efforts.
- Monitor SLAs, provide QBR and whiteboarding sessions for clients
- Interfaces appropriately with administrators of Patient Assistance Programs, Co-Pay Assistance, Foundations, prior authorizations, benefit investigations, and any other systems/tools to help with access and affordability of patient’s medications.
- Monitors internal software for receivables, logged problems, updates to program requirements, as well as standardized forms and letters.
- Assists with annual budgeting process for assigned clients and contract renewals
- Interfaces appropriately with key account team members with information relevant to additional products and services provided by ABC and its subsidiaries that may be of value to the client.
- Develops and maintains an ongoing relationship with AB Account Managers of other solutions to maintain knowledge of all AB activity occurring at assigned clients.
- Assists on special projects when requested by management.
- Other duties as assigned.
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires broad training in fields such as business, sales, Medical Office Administration, Social Work, Medical Records, Patient Financial Services, Pharmacy, Nursing or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a 2 to 4 year degree, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education; normally requires a minimum of 3-5 years of directly-related experience.
“Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or state certification may be required, contingent on client requirements.”
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrates superior understanding of the Patient Assistance Specialist/Patient Services Specialist duties. Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to effectively relate to patients, hospital staff and AB team members
- Knowledge around electronic medical record systems
- Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates ability to analyze data files
- Ability to be proactive and seek solutions under minimum supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Able to respond/react with appropriate urgency/professionalism and make decisions under pressure.

- Required 50 – 75% travel
