Capital One, a Fortune Magazine “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is seeking an innovative Principal Associate Marketing Manager for our Business Cards & Payments (BC&P) Customer Marketing team.
The BC&P Customer Marketing team is on a mission to transform marketing and become a best-in-class marketing organization through our customer-first, personalized marketing approach. We are focused on creating seamless experiences for each customer at a 1:1 level across all touchpoints. This individual will play a key part in building strategies and supporting campaign execution for our Onboarding marketing. Successful Principal Associate Marketing Managers are able to tie together key marketing and business results, work across multiple marketing channels, build strong relationships across a variety of partners and stakeholders, manage multiple high-priority projects at once while meeting deadlines, and most importantly, they have the desire to change how we “do marketing” at Capital One.

General Responsibilities:
Create insight-driven onboarding strategies for our new customers that include positioning and messaging, go-to-market plans, and testing recommendations.
Enhance personalization across all channels, focusing on delivering the right message, to the right customers, at the right time.
Build high-impact customer onboarding campaigns from scratch in order to drive more engagement from our new cardholders, which leads to long-term loyalty.
Use a data-driven approach to marketing proposals, starting with the “why” behind the initiative and starting with basic elements like learning agendas, hypotheses, test plans, benchmarks, and KPIs. Partner with analysts to assess performance, create share-outs, socialize results, and build out recommendations for next steps and further testing and optimizing.
Support product launches by auditing existing onboarding communications across all channels and updating all marketing communications to reflect new branding and product details.
Work cross-functionally with a variety of partners that include, but are not limited to, campaign operations, design, insights, channel owners, tech teams, product teams, and legal.
Write clear and concise creative briefs, test documents and test plans.
Manage creative development (with internal creative teams or agency partners) to ensure marketing is on-brand, high quality, aligned to our strategic intent and delivered on schedule.
Proactively identifies opportunities for expansions, optimizations and improvements based on industry trends and marketing best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of marketing experience
At least 1 year of project management experience
At least 1 year of experience working with creative agency teams to develop creative strategies
At least 1 year of experience building marketing strategies
