Outside Sales Representative

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Mack McClain & Associates.

Position Type: Full-time

Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional overnight travel.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and self-starting individual to join our team as an Outside Sales Representative. This role involves spending time on the road, in the field, and in the office, working closely with contractors, engineers, and wholesale distributors. The ideal candidate will have strong technical or hands-on skills, computer literacy, and thrive in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, and wholesale distributors.
• Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
• Travel within the territory for sales visits and occasional overnight stays (approximately twice a month).
• Attend customer training and entertainment events outside the territory every couple of months (this may increase overtime).
• Provide technical support and expertise to clients in the plumbing and mechanical industry.
• Engage in sales activities, including preparing reports, maintaining records, and tracking sales performance.
• Become a product expert for the products and manufacturers we represent.

Requirements

• Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the plumbing and mechanical industry.
• Strong technical or hands-on skills relevant to the industry.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong grammar.
• Ability to work independently and stay motivated.
• Willingness to travel overnight within and outside the territory as needed
