About Us:
Axiom is the leading legal talent marketplace, with a 20-year legacy of connecting legal professionals with opportunities. We are growing and profitable. We have a strong brand and our customers love us, as demonstrated by our impressive NPS score of 60 from both talent and lawyers.
Three years ago, we started building a modern technology platform to enable customers to create and find opportunities and connect with each other digitally. We are in the early stages of digital enablement and have an exciting journey ahead.
The Role:
We are seeking a curious and hungry Product Analytics Manager to establish and lead our Product Analytics function. This is an opportunity to shape the data culture of the organization, and build a cutting-edge digital platform within an established, profitable business.
We are a data-hungry organization, with Product Managers and Engineers building their own reports and data. We have a new Chief Product Officer and are eager to establish Product Analytics as a function that empowers the broader Product team, guides investment decisions and helps us learn well; while also holding the team accountable through objective data insights. We are looking for someone who is excited about doing what is needed to get the right data, including building pipelines (with the help of 1 Data Engineer), and who will recommend the right data strategy for platform analytics for the future.
Each of our jobs on the Product team is to build undeniably better customer experiences, that drive business outcomes, on time, in that order; and your role is critical to help us measure the quality and engagement of our product experiences. Our 50-person Product and Platform team members are based across the US and UK. You will build out a small team of analysts in the UK, starting with 1 hire this year. The East Coast timezone enables maximum collaboration time with all team members.
Responsibilities:
- Be an authority with a point of view for the organization and the team, finding the “story” in the data and challenging our understanding of customer behavior and business performance.
- Develop data-driven business insights and work with the team and cross-functional partners to find opportunities, drive product strategy, planning, and execution.
- Identify and develop hypotheses based on customer feedback and data. Help us learn well from our product launches and make recommendations as to how to iterate to create more value for customers.
- Provide thought leadership on product data instrumentation and data requirements to help capture the right level of data early on in the product requirements phase.
- Apply expert SQL and Python skills to access and transform data sets, including building data pipelines if needed.
- Be a data champion for products and act as an interface between product, business, and technical teams.
- Empower teams by automatic self-serve reporting for key customer metrics.
- Hire and develop a small team of highly skilled analysts; supporting the delivery of high-quality and impactful insights.
