Senior Software Developer - Java

Overview

We are looking for a Java Developer who will be part of a small team building a completely new cloud-based critical market infrastructure service in a bold new venture.  This exciting opportunity requires a candidate with excellent technical skills, and a wish to play a critical role in forming and growing a new business.

The successful candidate will:

• Be involved in designing, developing, testing, and rolling reporting solutions and services
• Work with the Product Owner team
• Deliver high quality work analysis, design and build servicing as per business requirements
• Proactively drive a culture of continuous improvement, good communication, and innovation
• Help sets the vision and strategy for the area, in conjunction with other key partners
• Greet new challenges with enthusiasm, and provide new viewpoints and inspiration for the team
• Keep up to date with changing technology, and providing recommendations on new technologies, bringing applicable improvements into the team

Key skills and experience to aid success in this role:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong development and delivery experience using Java and Spring Boot
• Strong test-driven development and automated test preference
• Excellent understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment
• Successful Agile delivery experience
• Experience of provisioning and rolling out AWS cloud solutions
• APIs using REST.
• Automated Testing
