Summary:

This Office Assistant position for the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office is open to all undergraduate students who are enrolled in an American University degree program for the 2024-2025 academic year, and students who hold a Federal Work Study award are highly encouraged to apply. 

The Office Assistant position encompasses a diverse array of duties, ranging from typical everyday tasks to special projects for various members of the office. The Assistant is expected to act in a professional manner as a representative of the CAS Dean's Office. 

 

Essential Functions:

• Completing day to day tasks for the Dean’s Office (greeting visitors and answering multi-line telephone).

• Creating lists in Excel and proposals in Word.

• Gathering research for study abroad programs, workshops, classes. 

• Creating content for social media pages/posters for upcoming events. 

• Planning logistics in timelines and updating documentation. 

• Tracking Inventory of general office supplies.
